    That might help if the oil consumption is due to oil getting past the rings.  However, having seen the oily state of the airbox and the inlet manifold, I suspect that a lot of the oil used is being fed into the engine via the crankcase breather.  This might be contributed to by excessive churn of the oil, which could in turn be due to a relatively small sump which looks to be smaller than that on the 675 engine.

    I agree . Might as well minimize the potential causes with an easy item to fix. I just had the MAP sensor hose assembly (nothing else, unlike what you guys in the UK are apparently getting!) replaced- hopefully that will minimize the amount of oil that's getting into the airbox. Not holding my breath though- I suspect you nailed the real issue.

    The MAP hose recall service will not affect oil consumption, as it is downstream of the problem.

    Yes, the MAP problem is a symptom not a cause.  The crankcase oil mist enters the airbox, then travels to the inlet manifold, which where it is getting into the MAP hose, before getting burned in the engine.
