    Dear All,

What is suggestion regarding must have tools for newbie owners? Of course it depends, but ... I do not want to do more serious jobs on the bike, I let it for the professionals, but I assume that there will be basic maintenance ones coming for sure with the ownership that one needs to cover even in your garage or during a ride. I would like to start buying these, because in one go it might be pricy.

    Thanks for any hints.

p.s. I grew up in a car mechanic-family, so I know (roughly) how a combustion engine works and looks like but a) it was 30 years ago and b) have never had a bike.

Start with a set of hex keys 3-8 mm. Torx T20, 25, 27, 30, 40. T55 only for the engine mount bolts. Sockets at least 6-17mm. 27mm for the rear axle nut and 36 for the front sprocket. Same sizes 6-17mm spanners. Rings spanners are handy especially the 27mm for the rear axle nut.
A set like this covers most except the 27 and 36mm sizes spanner/socket and the T55.
