    Just picked up my new red tiger 660 on Saturday....wow....I think I'm falling in love...first 102 kms .....can hardly wait for break in period to be over.....will try and get more kms on today.

    welcome to the group...!!  that first hundred miles is brutal (assuming you abide by the flashing tachometer)..  I'm at around 600 miles (1000 km) and it's still at 7k rpm.  still wondering what the actual redline is on the bike...!

    Even though Triumph claims a relatively 'flat' horsepower curve (which I agree that it is)...it comes alive a lot at 5-6k rpm...
