Excellent result, and I'm glad the instructions helped.

Regarding the adjustment, have a look at the other end of the cable where it attaches to the lever on the clutch housing on the RHS of the engine. If you adjust the slack such that there is just the tiniest bit of movement on this engine side lever when you manually pull it back and forth with your fingers, then you will be OK from the point of view of it not being too tight.  If it's too tight you won't be able to move it at all with your fingers. Don't over do the slack though or you may not be able to fully disengage the clutch, especially if you have set the hand lever on its closest setting which will reduce the range of cable movement available.

Hi guys, wonder if you can help. I read this thread with interest after dropping my bike (i know) in a parking lot and snapping the ball off the end of the clutch leaver. I thought id upgrade to an adjustable lever and ordered the part number you guys have successfully installed.

However I think maybe I have the wrong part or am missing something obvious? The new part (right) is missing the tab that presses the clutch safety switch in. So I cant see any way this will work.

Does your lever have this tab?

Thanks for the detailed reply Shandy. I might pick up the Shad box then and give the barrell swap a go. End of the day it's not the end of the world and I can live with using a separate key if needs be. Will report back here how I get on if I do ultimately go down that route

However, I did look at it before hand. It was delivered to me and I had it for a few days before dropping it off to the dealership. It comes with a fitting plate, which is nicely secured to the Triumph rack and it came with lots of different fitting options, you can have a play and see what's best for you.
I'll take some pictures and post them in the accessories section later in the week, when I'm off nights.

TBH, I don't think it would be very hard to fit.

I will post a link but TBH, I'd spend the slight extra money and get the Carbon look version or buy black cover as it's clearly designed for one. - normal - carbon

Hey Shandy, Im thinking of getting a Shad top box for my 660 when it arrives at the end of the week. Is your top box set up using the supplied barrels, keyed to the ignition keys? Or did you have to use separate keys and barrels?
